Off the pods and back to the plunger?

Coffee pods have become all the craze in the past few years – they’re convenient, easy to use and come in a vast variety of flavours.

But they’re also made of a combination of plastic and aluminium, and can take upwards of 300 years to break down if thrown into landfill.

Some are saying we should go back to the coffee plunger, but others are coming up with degradable pods that could break down in your own home compost.
