Olympic Athletes to swim in the Smelly Seine
The thirty-third Olympic games will start on Friday, hosted in Paris, France.
The authorities have interestingly nominated the Seine River as one of the venues for triathlons and open swimming events. The almost 800 km-long river runs through the center of the city, with world-famous landmarks like Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower at its banks. However, many worry that the river, known for its pollution level, might leave competing athletes sick.
