Female leaders call on federal budget to ‘make women’s lives easier not harder’
A group of high profile women on Thursday, published an open letter to the Prime Minister Scott Morrison, to ask that the federal budget address key factors contributing to gender inequality in Australia. Thirty one women across the business and social sectors including Rosie Batty, Ita Buttrose and Lucy Turnbull signed the letter, which is calling for urgent reforms such universal access to good quality childcare and flexible workplaces, to be imposed to that ensure that more women are able to stay in the workforce for longer.
