Optus CEO resigns after national network outage

The Optus CEO Kelly Bayer Rosmarin has resigned after the nationwide network outage which left almost half of the country without phone or internet for 12 hours.

The company has been put under mounting pressure after experiencing two of the most significant cybersecurity issues within the last 14 months, following the data breach that affected up to 9.7 million people in September 2022

Moreover,  this incident could have further implications and challenge the traditional impressions regarding leadership in a time of crisis.
