Oyster Farmers Bring Clear Waters
Australia’s waterways are in need of a clean. Marine debris and pollution have become a real threat to our beautiful environment and marine ecosystems. To make things worse, the recent bushfires and floods have choked our estuaries with substantial debris. Oyster farmers have partnered with professional fishers, anglers, indigenous groups and local councils to clean up the waters that have given so much to their livelihoods. Andy Myers, the Aquaculture Program Manager at OceanWatch Australia, joined us on Drive to tell us more about the ‘Tide to Tip’ initiative.
