The Panama Papers vs The Government

The Panama Papers have been talked about in the media quite a bit over recent days.

The papers detail who is avoiding tax, and how so.

The Mosseck Fonseca lawfirm are at the centre of the release of these documents, the worlds fourth largest offshore lawfirm.

They show evidence that it is generally the upper classes, all around the world, who are avoiding tax.

The Coalition are often seen as better financial handlers than Labor, but they’re often also dismissed as working first for the big end of town, so what does the release of these papers mean for the government and their next budget?

We had a talk to Peter Lewis, a director of Essential Media Communications, to find out what this means for both political parties.
