Paramedics demand better work conditions from NSW government
During the lockdown in Greater Sydney, more residents are getting infected with COVID-19. Now, paramedics are stretched to the limit, and concerns of them having the virus is increasingly worrying.
Some times paramedics have to wait with a potential COVID-19 patient outside the hospital for 7 hours to be accepted. Paramedics are staying there instead of attending much needed critical attention in the community.
A concerning issue growing is the miscommunication between paramedics and hospitals on taking patients. Paramedics have raised their concerns with NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard about their working conditions
