Parramatta Council aiming to reduce green waste

Green waste (or compostable material) accounts for around 50% of what goes to landfill in some Sydney LGA’s. Parramatta City council aims to combat this with the proposed Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) Collection Service.

The changes would mean shifts in what can go into the green bin, and a reduction in general waste in line with future Government regulations.

Parramatta City Council is inviting resident submissions to inform waste management – open until Jan 28th.

2Ser Breakfast spoke to the councils Lord Mayor Donna Davis to discuss.
