Pausing Pregnancy?

For humans, pregnancy means a total length of 9 months, but for some animals this is not the case. Some animals are able to pause their pregnancies from just a few weeks to almost 11 months. The ability to do this has been a mystery to scientists, with research still being done how animals are able to do this. As researchers begin to gain a clearer picture, we are now able to ask how this could help humans. We asked Dr. Jane Fenelon from the University of Melbourne to answer some of our questions.
