Pensioners Encouraged to Work

Pensioners are set to be the solution for work shortages after Independent MP for Mayo, Rebekah Sharkie, introduced a motion to parliament calling for an income tax exemption for pensioners who earn more than $420 a fortnight.
The idea has the support of employers, businesses, farmers and seniors. National Seniors also has a petition for this motion which can be found and signed.
