BLACK & WHITE TOWN is the sixth studio album by PERRY KEYES. Released November 2023, it’s his first since 2018’s ‘Jim Salmon’s Lament’. Produced by Michael Carpenter and recorded at Sydney’s House Studio, the sessions consisted of just Keyes, Carpenter and guitarist Ed Kairouz doing the bulk of the recording. The 10 songs on ‘Black & White Town’ continues Keyes’ unflinching take on the lives and the stories of the people of Sydney’s ‘other inner-city’. The communities that, although geographically central to the big city, are often left on the periphery of the wider community’s consciousness when referring to the so-called Emerald City.
