Petrol Film Interview
Getting its Sydney premiere this week is a new Australian independent film that focuses on the life of a young woman developing her artistic voice while developing a relationship with a mysterious new friend. This coming-of-age film depicting the excitement and trepidation of film school, life in shared accommodation, and the almost dissociative nature of intense friendship; offers us cerebral leaps between anticipation and apprehension that are such a formative part of youth.
Stephen Hill talked to the director of the film Petrol Alena Lodkina about this film of art and desire. Petrol is screening at the Golden Age Cinema tomorrow (12th May) at 3:30pm and Wednesday May 24.
