Pharmacists Needed in Remote Areas

Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with chronic diseases may be placing lives at risk to access pharmacist support. This includes treatment of life-threatening conditions like diabetes and cardio-vascular disease. The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation have joined forces to implement pharmacists in 22 Aboriginal community-controlled health services to help close the gap.
