Plastic Straw Ban Impacts People With Disabilities
Last month, the City of Sydney won the Food for Good award for it’s #SydneyDoesn’tSuck campaign about plastic straws.
But despite it’s award, environmental campaigns like this one often exclude the needs of people with disabilities who rely on the straws to eat and drink.
So, what does Sydney’s growing decision to ditch plastic straws mean for people with disabilities?
