Play-based learning on the rise

When it comes to teaching children, most people believe playtime is a break from learning for kids. But what if playtime was the key to teaching kids? New research suggests that play-based learning is the perfect tool for helping children learn at school and beyond.
Dr Natalie Robertson, a lecturer in Early Childhood Education and Dr Anne-Marie Morrissey, a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Education at Deakin University are both are researchers with a special interest in play. They join Matt to tell us more about this new phenomenon.
