Pollution in the Great Barrier Reef
A report this morning says that a Panama-based company Globex Shipping faces fines of up to $17 million for an alleged oil spill of between 10 and 15 tonnes near the Great Barrier Reef.
Coupled with the current bleaching of the Reef, the potential of pollution from ships and tankers also poses a significant threat.
Adrian spoke to Richard Leck, Head of Oceans with the World Wildlife Fund, to learn more about this threat and the case of Globex Shipping.
