Poor oral health in aged care needs to be addressed
According to the latest Australian Oral Health Survey, around 69 per cent of Australians aged 75 and over have gum disease, and around 25 per cent of the same demographic have tooth decay.
This is concerning, as poor oral health may have further health consequences, particularly with Australians in aged care.
The Australian Dental Association would like the next Federal government to pay attention to this issue to prevent more diseases originated from poor oral health.
