Pottery found might rewrite Aboriginal history: research
A team from James Cook University has uncovered ancient pottery relics on an island within the Great Barrier Reef.
The team compiled a report on the initial find, suggesting that Australian First Nations Communities were deeply involved in cultural trade across the Coral Sea.
The report has upended long held theories that Aboriginal Australians did not make pottery or trade with their closest neighbours.
