Picture Disney classic Aladdin, a poor young street boy falls in love with a beautiful princess… a romantic fairytale. However, cross-cultural dating becomes a little more complex in the real world. Dr Eve Vincent and Dr Rose Butler recently undertook research through eleven interviews with members of six cross-class couples. For these couples, love across class is an everyday reality and the differences are sometimes subtle, sometimes striking.
