Progress Made On Manus Island

For all the troubling news coming that’s come out the past several years about the treatment of our offshore asylum seekers, there does seem to be a glimmer of hope. 58 refugees have been granted resettlement in the US, ending their living hell in detainment. But there’s still roughly 2000 refugees still stuck in offshore detention centres.

The Daily spoke with Ian Rintoul, Coordinator at Refugee Action Coalition Sydney, about what happens now with Australia’s offshore refugees.
