The New Face of Punk: Protomartyr

Protomatryr are the type of band that make you stop what you’re doing and really listen. There’s something going on in their music that makes you appreciate the effort that has gone into the sound, the lyrics and musicality of it.

Often described as post-punk,  it’s probably also fair to say they’re neo-post-punk or post-post-punk. It’s a modernity of a genre that has gone through decades of maturity.

Joe Casey, lead singer (and Detroit sports fan), joined us in studio today!

Catch them live this Friday night at The Oxford Arts Factory. For more info, jump here.
