Public housing maintenance crists

It’s no secret that public housing, on a national scale, has been left basically unattended for years, and will continue to spiral in decay if no action is taken. It’s also a system that is grossly underfunded. Whilst it’s easy to look at the public housing system as a financial black hole, we tend to forget that the people who live in these homes are low-income earners, and claiming back funds from rent is almost impossible.

The Daily was joined by Chris Martin, Research fellow of Housing Policy and Practise from the University of New South Wales, to delve more into this issue.
