Public Transport Reforms with Simon Burchill
Public transport accessibility standards were first established in 2002 and required Australia to be fully accessible by the end of 2022.
Last week, the Federal government announced their first reforms since the standards were established.
Simon Burchill is the General Manager of Physical Disability Australia (PDA), the national peak Disability Peoples Organisation (DPO), run by people with physical disability for people with physical disability. Simon joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss if these changes will have a positive impact, why the government is so late to meet the standards, and what we can do about it.
