Pyrex Bend But Don’t Break
Bringing together all the ingredients that every musical kitchen is rich with Pyrex, who hail from Creswick in Victoria, bring together generous helpings of dreampop, folk and all the whimsical touches of the alternative rock scene of the 90s on their debut EP, Noise For No Reason.
With main members of Jordan and Arian who come from a background of punk and psychedelica, Pyrex has added a vast amount of flavours to their 8 track EP with a rotating roster of musicians and producers, making for an array of immersive sounds. Painting a picture of the regional landscape that makes up the West-Central Victorian landscape.
Taking some time out on a cold weekend, Jordan and Arian spoke to The Band Next Door on 2SER about their creative partnership, being able to let-go of old songs and working outside of the major metro areas.
