Queer Screen’s Mardi Gras Film Festival kicks off this week, running from the 15-29 February 2024.

This year’s festival theme revolves around conversation, focusing on films that spark debates, ignite conversations, and get tongues wagging.

One of those films set to spark conversation is Sunflower, the new work by Australian writer-director Gabriel Carrubba, delivering an impressive first feature in this deftly made coming of age drama.  Gabriel joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss his work, the process of filmmaking and seeing Michael Fassbender at Cannes.
