With the huge demand for things like surgical masks and gowns, the healthcare sector is facing a supply shortage – which could potentially put a lot of medical staff, and patients at risk. Med-Con, is a small business located in Shepparton Victoria, and is Australia’s only manufacturer of protective medical equipment. They’ve recently been tasked with drastically ramping up production to help cope with the overwhelming demand. With the urgency of the situation, the government has even sent the army to the Med-Con factory to help with production. Med-Con’s CEO Steve Csiszar joined Sean Britten for The Thursday Daily to tell us all about whats going on at Med-Con HQ.
