Rare Diseases Day with Gidon Goodman
Today is Rare Diseases Day, when the rare diseases community comes together to create a stronger voice in society. Due their rarity and complexity, rare diseases are hard to diagnose, and can often allow such diseases to progress in the body. Up to 2 million people are affected by rare disease, but individuals with a rare disease are often overlooked.
For Rare Diseases Day, The Daily’s Victor Petrovic joined by Gidon Goodman, founder of the The Gaucher Association of Australia and New Zealand and New South Wales Young Australian of the Year for 2019.
