In recent weeks Hollywood producers and actors, comedians and politicians around the world have been revealed as sexual abusers with histories of intimidating, criminal behaviour. From Harvey Weinstein to Louis CK and a UK Parliamentarian Michael Fallon – it appears that a tipping point may have been reached. Cultures of secrecy have been broken and powerful figures are being held to account for their predatory behaviour.
We talked with feminist, author and social commentator Jane Caro about how this wave of revelations, along with a renewed outpouring of stories on social media, could change institutions – from entertainment to politics – for the better.
