Social media platforms and digital streaming platforms constantly bombard us with recommendations. They somehow seem to know what we like and what we might like. Their prediction of our behaviour is impeccable and it is frightening to some extent.

We were joined by Gang Li, Associate Professor at the School of Information Technology, Deakin University to discuss how these systems work and whether we should be more aware of how they’re using our data.
