Reconciliation Across the Ditch
One year before Cook landed in Australia he made landfall in New Zealand. Yet the settlement of both Australia and New Zealand happened in vastly different ways. Australia was declared Terra Nullius, while across the ditch the British and Maori signed the Treaty of Waitangi.
