Migration and Population Growth Falls in Australia
Australia’s net migration is set to fall to just -0.2% the lowest since WWII while the population growth will sit at just 0.2% the lowest in over a century. This has far reaching consequences for the economy as population growth improves economic growth, net migration also accounts for two-thirds of population growth in Australia. The news comes after the 2020 Federal Budget was handed down on Tuesday night. We were joined earlier by Associate Professor Anna Boucher from Sydney University.
