Record number of species added to Australian threatened species list

Last year had a record breaking number of species added to Australia’s threatened species list. A report by the Australian Conservation Foundation had added 144 animals, plants and ecological systems to the list of wildlife at risk of extinction. This is five times as many species added compared to the average reporting year, and twice as many as the previous record year.

To understand the reasons behind this, and what needs to be done in the future to this drastic biodiversity loss in Australia, is James Murray joined with Peta Bulling, nature campaigner and advocate for protection with the ACF.
