Rediscovering Imagination with Leah Senior

The feature album this week is ‘The Passing Scene’ from Melbourne singer-songwriter Leah Senior. Where her previous records offer up melancholic and visceral folk, Leah’s third album sees a jaunty pivot into sun-dappled, 60s and 70s classic pop, and references to The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and David Bowie.
2SER’s Music Director Steph Liong spoke to Leah about visiting the graves of rock stars, and re-discovering imagination and play while songwriting. Leah begins by explaining her history with writing music on piano, and how that informed many the songs on this album.
