Religious Discrimination Bill doing more damage than good
Today, in a twist of events at Parliament House, the Senate has shelved the Religious Discrimination Bill that passed on the Lower House and proposed by the Federal government to protect rights based on faith.
During Question Time, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that it is important to acknowledge the role of faith and culture in Australia if bringing multiculturalism into the debate.
Culturally and linguistically diverse community organisations are concerned about the language used in Question Time, and say it is time politicians stop looking at these communities as a monolithic block.
