With the recent religious freedom and parental rights bills as proposed by Mark Latham, the influence of religion in our daily lives, LGBTQ issues, and general policy-making has been sparking discussions. To what extent can we really leave religious influences out of government functions? How do we maintain the balance between protecting religious ideologies whilst protecting the rights of minority groups?
