RENEWABLE ENERGY UPDATE: Australia Rejoins the Green Climate Fund
Earlier this month the Federal Government announced that Australia would be rejoining the Green Climate Fund. The Fund is a United Nations initiative that aims to finance projects that will help smaller nations deal with the impacts of climate change.
Although Australia signed onto the Fund in 2015, it did not contribute any money in 2018 under Scott Morrison. Foreign Minister Penny Wong has now confirmed Australia will donate a “modest” contribution this year.
