Renewable Energy Update: NSW Renewable Energy Generation Record!
The 16th of March was a scorcher for NSW, with Western Sydney sweltering through a temperature of 36 °C . The intense heat, though unpleasant for anyone without access to a swim or air conditioning, was a record making day for renewable energy in NSW, with rooftop solar generating 7,600 megawatts of electricity. This is the largest amount of renewable energy generated on a single day in NSW history.
Dr. Matt Wright spoke with Jack Gembitsky about the significance of this event and what it means for the production and efficiency of solar energy in NSW going forward.
