Rental horror stories
Renting may seem like good alternative to buying a house, but some tenants are having trouble getting their money’s worth.
Greens MP Jenny Leong has started a Facebook page to document these rental horror stories ahead of a review of the NSW Residential Tenancies Act.
The stories paint an ugly picture of our rental landscape. Slug and flea infestations, leaking roofs and holes in floors are just some of the complaints heard from tenants in NSW.
Jenny Leong joined Sam to discuss attempts to help renters. He began by asking the worst rental story she’d heard.
