New research from financial institute Salt and Lime finds most Australians don’t know what a credit score is, despite nearly eight in ten Australians having at least one financial product. 

Around 65% of Australians are unfamiliar with, or misinformed about credit scores. 

So what is a credit score? And why is it so important?
