Reshaping the Stigma: Eating Disorders at InsideOut Institute

Did you know that an estimated one in 20 Australians has an eating disorder?

On Monday Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt launched Australia’s first ever centre for eating disorders at the University of Sydney. The InsideOut Institute is aiming to ensure every Australian living with an eating disorder has access to the best possible care by rethinking the way eating disorders are treated but with anorexia nervosa having one of the highest mortality rates of mental illnesses, why are conditions like this not talked about as much in society? Dr. Sarah MaGuire the director of the InsideOut Institute joined Sean Britten on the show.
