Rethinking prisons to drop reoffending rates

Last year there were 26,163 people serving sentences in Australian prisons.

Around 90% of these people will return to the community within ten years. According to current data, close to half of these inmates that are released will return to prison within two years.

How can we stop inmates reoffending and is restructuring of detention centres the way to go?
