Reworking the System for Homeless Youth

Every night across Australia, approximately 42,000 young people between the ages of 15 – 24 do it rough. Whilst Australia already has a range of homeless services, the rate of homelessness within young people -aged between 15-24 – continues to rise. Hoping to improve the current system, The Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI), has released a report looking at possible policy development solutions.
Sean on The Daily was joined by Tammy Hand, a Research Fellow at University of South Australia to tell us more about how a reworked homelessness system can better protect Australia’s vulnerable youth.
