Are Roads Destroying Nature?
Roads are vital in connecting us, but at what cost? A recent study has revealed that the building of roads and highways is the biggest human threat to nature. With big projects like West-connex happening on our shores, it’s only a small percentage of the 25 Million kilometres of paved roads expected to be created by 2050. With more and more projects being announced worldwide, are we slowly destroying our land, and is it worth it? FEalier, we were joined by Bill Laurence, Research Professor and Australian Laureate at James Cook University.
