Robots and the Workforce
It has been estimated that by 2030 nearly half of the Australian workforce will be replaced by robots. The jobs most affected will be ones that require no creativity or any emotional intelligence at all. Recently the non-profit group, Foundation for Young Australians, reported that 60% of Australian students were training for jobs that will not exist in the future.
It also reported there will be a demand for technology, engineering, science and mathematics. What does this mean for the current student not studying in those fields?
Myles Houlbrook-Walk was joined by the Head of Public Affairs from Foundation for Young Australians Maggie Hill who provided more details on the issue.
