Royal Commission Examining Use Of Restraints In Aged Care Homes

Many of our loved ones are in aged care homes. But how do we know they are being looked after properly? Recently there has been some research done into the use of restraints on patients as a way to control their behaviour, and some patients have even been reported to have been drugged up for years without their families consent or knowledge. The Royal Commission has said they will be looking into these cases, hopefully preventing them in the future. Joining us this morning we had the CEO of Aged and Disability Advocates, Mr Geoff Rowe, to answer some of our questions.
