Rural Health Initiative

With rural health under a lot of pressure in Australia, especially with the lack of doctors in regional areas, the government is submitting a proposal before parliament that will seek to establish a Rural Health Commissioner. The aims of the proposed scheme will be to offer incentives to get more doctors into the bush, as well as provide the necessary training required for such important services. Adrian discussed the potential effects of this new proposal with Dr John Hall, the Vice President of the Rural Doctors Association of Australia.
