It has been over 6 months since the full scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia began.

Ukrainians continue to fight on and hold onto hope as they face new challenges. One challenge pose great difficulty for civilians who are working through their farmlands, rivers and communities to  locate and disarm land mines, which require access to metal detectors.

Dr Sonia Mycak, Ukrainian Studies Foundation in Australia Research Fellow at the Australian National University, joined Annie from The Monday Daily and provided insight into the current experiences of Ukrainians living through the war.
