Sacred Grove in your Street – Trees as the beacons of life of our concrete world
Trees are an essential part of our world that we can often take for granted. Apart from their crucial role in the CO2 to Oxygen cycle, trees are the home of all sorts of animal and additional plant species, and in urban spaces such as Sydney they act as beacons of life that provide shade, shelter and scenery.
The latter is the purpose of the Tree Veneration Society‘s new exhibition known as “Sacred Grove in your Street“, a multidisciplinary experience running in Chatswood that invites people to look at the flora around them in a different way.
The exhibition features sculpture, photography, painting, printmaking, film, projection, installation and drawing, with a diverse collection of artistic representations of our subject matter, with enthralling lights and moving leaves and branches that will pull you into the natural beauty hidden in those towering trunks of our city.
It is running from 11am to 5pm everyday up until Sunday at The concourse art space at Chatswood, so make sure to pay a visit and gain a new appreciation for the natural little things around you!
