Sail4Sanity: the two grandfathers meet with Adam Worling at the Man O’War steps
Last week on the Friday Daily, Jono Wakeley spoke to two grandfathers live at sea, who are sailing in their two-man kayak from Shoalhaven to Newcastle. They will be joining the Newcastle coal mine blockade in protest of new coal mines being commissioned in Australia, and calling for the Australian Federal Government to stop subsidising fossil fuels. On Sunday, the two docked their kayak at the Man O’War steps at the Sydney Opera House to meet with Adam Worling from Sydney Council. Our producer Ben Tomking caught up with them to see how they’re going in their journey, and to discuss the significance of their meeting.
