Sailing Away with Lisa Blair

Lisa Blair is a passionate climate activist and world record breaking sailor.

She discovered sailing at the age of 25 and 7 years later in 2017, became the first woman to circumnavigate Antarctica solo on her boat Climate Action Now.

She has gone on to sail non-stop on her own around Australia, New Zealand and Antarctica again, all in record times. She has survived tumultuous waters and a perilous dismasting at sea, showing her grit and determination. As part of her commitment to climate action now she is constantly developing new sustainability projects, collaborating with research institutions and inspiring future generations.

Lisa joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss her illustrious career, environmental activism and Ice Maiden, the feature length documentary tracking her astonishing journey around Antarctica.
